Flight – my journey to Asia
April 2, 2016 was the the day that set the stage for my future. My one way ticket was purchased and I’m on my way to Los Angeles International Airport. My flight was with China Southern. I have never flown with this airline before. My expectations were set low. Pleasantly it was a great flight.
My dad was born April 2, 1937. He was a great family provider and the best dad that anyone could ever hope for. He passed on May 29, 2015. Cancer took his life. Why am I tell you all this information? The reason that I chose April 2 of this year was to commemorate his life and passing. He would have been 79 this year. It was a sendoff for me and a wish that my dad had hoped that I would fulfill. To travel and see the world that he did not have a chance to see.
The video Vlog series starts with this one. I called it “Flight”
In this first video, I show the journey from the amazing flight from LAX to Guangzhou Airport, China. After a short wait in Guangzhou airport the final leg of the trip makes it to Manila, Philippines.
From there the video will go on to the the first hotel stay at Red Planet in the lively Ermita district, this contemporary hotel is close from Manila Ocean Park and right in the heart of the old Red Light district. Stunning views from the 10th top floor and some insight into the accommodations. You can see by the video that I’m one exhausted guy!
I ask that you find that fire inside of you and book that flight to parts unknown. Just do it. Please enjoy the vlog series on YouTube called Tech Geek Traveler and don’t forget to subscribe and like.
